Folly Quarter Manor sits out in the farmland west of Ellicott City, on ground that was once part of Charles Carroll of Carrollton's Folly Quarter holdings. The manor house itself went up in 1936 for Morris Schapiro, whose family helped shape Maryland horse racing, and the estate still carries that character: a long private approach, barns and paddocks, mature trees, and open pasture running back to the treeline. What it offers that almost no other location can is space and quiet. There are no crowds, nobody walking through your frame, and no waiting for a spot to clear. It is a private residence rather than a public venue, so a session here is arranged in advance rather than turned up to.

Getting There
The estate is on Folly Quarter Road in the farmland west of Ellicott City, roughly forty minutes from central Baltimore and reachable only by car. Because it is a private residence rather than a public venue, there is no visitor parking and no public access, and we don't publish the address. Permission, timing and the meeting point are arranged with the owners ahead of your session, and your photographer confirms all three once you're booked.
