Engagement Sessions in Toronto
Retro Arcade, Whitby, TorontoBest Time of Year: Year-round — an indoor location, so the season is irrelevant
Ideal For: Couples who want colour, play, and a session that doesn't feel like a shoot
An arcade is the rare indoor location that lights itself. Cabinet screens and neon throw colour across faces for free, pinball tables give you texture and reflections, and the two of you have something to do the entire time, which is usually what stops a session looking staged. It is a bold, saturated look you cannot get outdoors, and downtown Whitby's old storefronts are a step outside if you want a brighter contrast in the same hour.

Why Shoot Here
- Cabinet screens and neon light the room for you
- Pinball tables for texture, reflections and colour
- Indoors and weatherproof in any season
- Something to do, so nothing looks posed
- A bold, saturated look you can't get outdoors
- Downtown Whitby storefronts a step outside for contrast
Session Tips
- It's a private venue — your photographer arranges access and timing first
- Weekday afternoons are quietest; evenings and weekends fill with players
- Mixed neon and screen light is tricky, so expect a deliberately bold colour cast
- Wear something plain; busy patterns fight the cabinet art behind you
- Step outside for a few frames on the street if you want a brighter contrast
Getting There
Downtown Whitby is about an hour east of downtown Toronto by car, with street and lot parking nearby. Because this is a private venue, access and timing are arranged with them ahead of the session, and your photographer will confirm the meeting point once you're booked.

“From the very beginning Jeff along with his studio manager Frankie were both very good at communicating and chose the most beautiful place, Huntington Beach State Park.”
